I am originally from Munford, TN. but moved to Nashville in 2015 from Virginia Beach, Va where I was stationed while in the US Navy. I ended up staying in the Commonwealth for another 10 years after my military service where I earned my degree from Christopher Newport University and eventually met my wife. Virginia will always have a place in my heart, but I have always known that Tennessee was the place for me and my family. The "Tenn" in my company name comes from the love I have for the Volunteer state and "Starr" comes from my mothers Maiden name out of respect for my late Grandfather.
I started DJing while living in Virginia, doing "Rock n Bowls" at bowling alleys and eventually moved to birthday parties. As my knowledge of music and experience grew, I moved on to weddings and night clubs. I spent the next 10 plus years working with one of the largest mobile disc jockey companies on the east coast and also DJ'd for some of the largest Bars/Clubs. I have been an "Open Format" DJ since my start, due to my love for all music. That love of a wide range of music comes from my mother, I remember her cleaning the house to the sounds of Michael Jackson, The Eagles, Bonnie Tyler, Prince, The Doors, Garth Brooks and much more. Growing up with such a diverse mixture of music is one of the main reasons I ended up on this DJ path.
I am extremly passionate about what I do and strive to make sure every event I work is the most memorable that it can be. I truly have the best job anyone could ask for.
